Michael S. Spivey
Working as an Operations Manager, Project Manager, and Consultant over a 17 year career in the financial services industry, Mr. Spivey has a wide range of experience from front-line management to managing enterprise wide change initiatives.
Mr. Spivey’s special expertise focuses on project and program management, as well as the facilitation of worksessions which bring business and technical resources together to focus on improving overall business performance. Mr. Spivey’s “hands-on” approach to project management and process design, is such that he works to assist organizations to better understand the process of defining project scope, gathering business requirements, and capturing current and future business processes to support the successful implementation of large change initiatives. As a facilitator, he also works with organizations to transfer the knowledge of these techniques to associates so that they can be applied to both current and future project work.
As an experienced project manager and process designer, Mr. Spivey has worked on numerous consolidation efforts – from both the operational and technological perspective. These efforts involved the transfer, consolidation, and re-engineering of back-office processes from one site to another as well as consolidation of various internal systems.
Mr. Spivey also has experience in the e-Commerce and personnel arenas, managing projects that had enterprise wide impacts such as the development and integration of personnel tools that could be accessed via an internal portal.
In addition to working as a project manager and senior consultant, Mr. Spivey also has professional experience managing large groups of associates across various organizational levels – from front-line associates to unit/project managers.
